The fifth edition of KPIT Sparkle received more than 2000 ideas from around 22,000 engineering and science students across India. The 30 best teams presented prototypes of their solutions to the jury and incubation partners
Team Aqua from Army Institute of Technology, Pune, won the platinum award of INR 1,000,000 for developing a vertical axis water turbine (VAWT), which is 24% more efficient than a conventional system. The turbine can be used for both small and large-scale energy production

Every year several KPITians enroll for higher education programs with Coventry University, UK. This year we celebrated the passing out of the first batch of KPITians from Coventry University.
They received Master's degrees in the areas of M.Tech in Automotive Electronics and MBA in Strategic Engineering Management.

For the past three years KPIT and Coventry University have developed an on-going collegiate relationship focused on jointly creating and delivering specialized postgraduate programmes. In 2019 KPIT setup a Technology & Research Centre inside Coventry University Technology Park. This shall leverage our global commitment to upskill and learn and especially help us grow and collaborate in the UK and the European region.
Kishor Patil, CEO & MD, KPIT and Prof Ashok Shettar VC- KLE Tech, signed an MOU which will now be taken forward for a strategic collaboration.
KLE Tech and KPIT are working towards creating a unique collaborative education model for Diploma Engineers.

In 2019, we embarked on our journey to be nothing less than excellent at everything we do – to institute a Culture of Excellence. Culture and Excellence are broad terms. “Culture is a set of repeated behaviors, across time, across company”. Our conviction is that these repeated behaviors must map to “Excellence” in whatever we do! We really need to instill excellence into everyday living that each one of us are going to be accountable for and instill the same into our teams too.
A workshop series titled as “Symphony” was rolled out in 2019 and many senior people at KPIT were empowered with few competencies. This program will be rolled out to a large audience in 2020 and every KPITian will benefit from it.

We launched the KPIT Alumni network this year and it has grown strong. As of today we stand at 4000+ members. From social entrepreneurs to successful business person, from creative geniuses to sports enthusiasts, KPIT has nurtured a very diverse set of people. We celebrated this year, their successes and life journeys. Further, we initiated Green Channel for all our alumni who want to rejoin.

We were a part of ELIV, one of Europe's most important automotive events. KPIT is showcased technologies around autonomous driving, connected vehicles, diagnostics, AUTOSAR, electric powertrain and much more.
KPIT was a Silver Sponsor at TU-Automotive Japan 2019. TU Automotive Japan is one of Asia's most informative conference in automotive technology.
It was a full house on Saturday, 16th Nov, at the session hosted by KPIT & Continental on “Next-gen Technologies for Connected Mobility” at, Bengaluru, India. Alexander Klotz, Rosemary Joshy from Continental and KPIT’s Omkar Panse shared their visions on Connected Mobility and gave perspectives into role of technology and software. The event witnessed participation from brightest software engineers in the industry with an interactive questions & answer’s session.

Anup Sable, CTO, KPIT shared his perspective on the topic “Charging Systems for Electric Vehicles”.
The KPIT team also demonstrated tech demos on vehicle electrification and diagnostics.
CES is the world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. In 2019 the event was attended by over 180K attendees, 4500 exhibiting companies, 1200 start-ups and featured technologies like AI, Voice Integrationa and Autonomous reinforcement. We hosted 55+ meetings and 15+ executive meetings. We touched every major player in the industry visiting the event.

Achieving leading retention in KPIT by reducing attrition by more than 50% was a collective effort and proud moment for many of us. Kishor shared this with all stakeholders in Q2 comment and we have made more progress. We had set a challenging goal and exceeded it.
