KPIT as Gold sponsor at ELIV Congress 2021

KPIT had great conversations with OEMs and mobility ecosystem at its booth at the ELIV Congress 2021 in Bonn, Germany. We showcased the technology at ELIV for the 7th time in a row. KPIT is proud to have been associated with this edition as a Gold Sponsor.

KPIT and ZF form development cooperation for industry-leading middleware solution

  • Addresses major gap in availability of a mature, modular, integrated middleware solution that allows mobility OEMs to manage the continual increase in software complexity while retaining full control of architecture.
  • Builds on sustained investment by KPIT and ZF in solutions for “software-defined vehicles”.
  • The joint development will create an open and scalable platform which can be used across OEMs and mobility customers.

KPIT hosts inaugural Awards of Excellence 2021

The inaugural KPIT Awards of Excellence took place on 14th October 2021. It was the first global hybrid event within the organization and attended by thousands of employees virtually and in person at the Pune campus.

The event kicked off with motivational words by Mr. Ravi Pandit and Mr. Kishor Patil, followed by some fun elements like quizzes, dance performances, and of course, the award ceremony!

Awards of Excellence is an annual platform to appreciate and recognize teams for their outstanding achievements in line with our bold vision. Teams were shortlisted through rigorous eligibility criteria, and the recipients were finalized by a peer-led committee based on comprehensive factors.

KPIT encourages Women in STEM with its first participation in the Society of Women Engineers Conference at Indianapolis, USA. With an interaction with 100+ potential women candidates to be recruited from the industry, interactions with 8+ engineering schools locally in the US geography and covering 2000+ talent impressions through social media in the geo, KPIT strengthens its focus on diversity and inclusion in the US geo.

KPIT is proud to be featured in the NASSCOM's 'ADVANTAGE INDIA: Gateway To Global Engineering R&D And Innovation' report. Prof. K. Vijayraghavan,  Principal Scientific Advisor, Government of India,  launched the report at the 13th edition of NASSCOM Design & Engineering Summit 2021.

KPIT wins a multi-million-dollar strategic engagement from a leading European Car Manufacturer in the Electric Powertrain domain

The engagement spans over five years of software development and integration work. It will be followed by software maintenance. The total deal value is expected to be USD 52 million. In the journey towards software-defined vehicles, the value KPIT will deliver in these programs becomes significant.

KPIT has been selected as next-gen software development and integration partner for the control unit of a new e-powertrain component, function development, and software testing of all power electronics components of next-gen Invertor, Onboard Charger, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).

KPIT Webinar Series 2021 in association with Automotive World

The Automotive & Mobility ecosystem needs to navigate the software puzzle with the right strategy, make/buy software components and invest in the right platforms. But what is the right way to do it? Only experience of 100s of production programs can promise a direction. In this webinar series, team KPIT will share their knowledge of taking software from prototype to production while navigating many software integration challenges.

In September 2021, one webinar was organized from the Powertrain on 'Legacy Software Maintenance as a Service in the era of Electric Mobility.' In this webinar, KPIT experts shared an alternation approach to software maintenance for legacy powertrain products. As OEMs and Tier-1s invest time and resources to launch new electric vehicles, millions of cars with conventional powertrains continue to need support and maintenance for their lifetime. The experts discussed how KPIT's comprehensive approach towards software maintenance and expertise could aid OEMs and Tier1s focus on new technologies. The webinar had registrations and attendees from OEMs and Tier-1s.

KPIT’s article gets published in HANSERautomotive – ‘Architecture of an integrated Park-in and Park-out system’

HANSERautomotive, a leading German Automotive magazine, recently published a technical article from KPIT titled 'Architecture of an integrated Park-in and Park-out system,' authored by Mr. Soumyo Das, Solution Architect - Autonomous Driving, KPIT.

The article discusses the system-level architecture of an Automated Park Assist System to aid the driver in maneuvering the vehicle in a predetermined accessed space for parking. This research includes but is not limited to ultrasonic and camera object data fusion, parking trajectory planning, and motion control to steer the vehicle in parking space.

KPIT is an integration and development partner for software-defined vehicles helping the mobility ecosystem accelerate the journey from prototype to production. Several platforms, tools and accelerators, and custom services are deployed in these partnerships.

Oktoberfest Celebrations in KPIT’s Munich office

In the spirit of Oktoberfest tradition, KPITians in Germany celebrated Trachtentag, dressed up in traditional German costumes at KPIT's Munich office. The whole atmosphere was filled with the aura of the Oktoberfest and with traditional music, food, and drinks.

Men were dressed up in the Lederhosen and women in Dirndl. This kind of clothing is worn especially in rural and alpine regions of Bavaria (South Germany) and other parts of Germany during special celebrations.

KPITians in Europe provide cutting-edge solutions in Autonomous Driving, Electric Powertrain, and Vehicle Diagnostics solution building and implementation to customers.

KPIT launches Cohort 1 of HEI’s M.Tech program

As part of the Higher Education Initiative, KPIT has a collaboration with Coventry University to offer KPITians an opportunity to pursue a Master's Degree in Automotive Software Engineering while at work. We are delighted to share that KPIT has launched Cohort 1 of the new M.Tech Program.

For this Cohort, more than 40 KPITians were selected through a rigorous selection process. We had esteemed members from Coventry University and KPIT attending the induction virtually.

It was a session filled with enthusiasm, the joy of new beginnings, and an urge to take an additional step towards learning and growth.

KPIT lends a helping hand to support the education of children who are facing uncertainties due to COVID-19

KPIT, in collaboration with Seva Sahayog Foundation and Youth for Seva, has stepped in to support the education of children who unfortunately are facing uncertainties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This collaboration will help these children pursue higher education by providing them with scholarships, mentoring, and career guidance. Kudos to all the volunteers!
